Clearing the room

French Bulldogs are in the bully breeds that have very bad gas. I have tried a few of the top dog foods and have not found any that fix the issue. These cute CuddleBugs can have such bad gas that the entire room wants to leave.

Stubborn

French Bulldogs are intelligent, but stubborn. They NEED constant attention and affection. If you do not give them the proper attention (in their minds—All the time), they can often do things to make you pay attention. Example: Pee on the floor after you JUST brought them in from a walk….while looking at you like “yes.. I Did that!”

Anxiety

Many Frenchies suffer from anxiety. Often as puppies we want to carry them around with us everywhere and they get used to this routine. Make sure to socialize you Frenchie with other dogs, but also crate them. Let them get used to being at home alone for short periods of time.

The Real Cost of Breeding (From a few Breeders)

Food for thought when looking to purchase a Frenchie-
You wanna start breeding? Let me break down the cost of the process in the lower end… Female- 3-10kStud fee- 1-10k Progesterone tests- $75-$100 each these stack up quick – usually 2-4 tests before A.I. and 1 the  day of C-SectionUltra sound- $90-$160X ray -$60-$100 eachC section $1200/4kWhelping set up $1000/3k (incubator, whelping box, puppy pads, oxygen concentrator, heat lamps, weighing scale, aspirator machine, litter box, Pellet litter, blankets, towels)Plus the time you have to take off or pay for someone to care for the pups for 2 months until they ready to go. On top of all this you’re spending monthly on food, cleaning supplies, the affect on your utilities,  collars and vet visit (s)For those who say this is a money hungry thing….This is some expenses that go into it and sometimes we do all the spending and the whole litter can die….I respect breeders for breeding and putting in work because it’s not easy at all!

HOW to AVOID a Scammer!

Many people are complaining of being scammed by people posing as breeders. So here are some tips on how NOT to get scammed. I am here to help even if you do not get a puppy from me.

1) FaceTime/ Zoom/Duo with the breeder and the puppy you want before signing a contract and giving them any money.
2) If they want you to Zelle/Cash app or Venmo and the names do not match at all. Do not send money. Question it
3) If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, French Bulldogs are extremely expensive to breed. No breeder worth their salt is selling a puppy for $800.
4) Get a vet reference. Ask the breeder for the vets name, Facility name and for the vet office number. Verify the number they provided is really the veterinary office number. Call the vet office and verify they have French bulldog puppies, the age and parent (s) information.
5) You can also check AKC marketplace. If they say they are selling puppies that are AKC registered, there is a good chance they are posted on that site. It isn’t very expensive.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I’m so tired of hearing about people being scammed.
